Advisory Service, Energy and Climate Management
Management of climate in green housing embraces control of temperature, light, humidity and CO2 concentration. The purpose of this control is to produce high quality plants with low consumption of energy in the shortest possible time. Climate is regulated through heating systems, windows, curtains, artificial light and dosing of CO2. These systems are managed by computers that also enables the manager to store information collected by the computer. Computers are continuously calibrated and are regulating the climate thereby lowering consumption of energy.
The advisory service of DEG is Green Team
The latest research within climate management shows that energy consumption can be reduced significantly, down to 10 to 20 % without having to invest heavily in hardware. Green Team has invested time in participating in this research, and systems and tool for this management control have been tested in many Danish green houses and at the gardeners.
